Don startled everyone with his decree that the virus would end by Easter, with “packed pews.” Pence waved a Trump Fifteen Day Plan placard in response to every question. Now the Trump Fifteen Day is the new Trump Thirty Day Plan, which if you are math oriented is really 45 days. So what changed Don’s mind? Now we know. Poll numbers.

“Only 37 percent of voters surveyed said they would have "a lot" or "some" trust in Trump to recommend ending physical and social distancing recommendations, while 55 percent have "not much" or no trust "at all." Compare that with the CDC: 74 percent say they have "a lot" or "some" trust in it to recommend when it is safe to discontinue those measures.”
